AMIR NAWAR, PT.PES.CI

 PHYSICAL THERAPIST/DIRECTOR

Amir Nawar is the founder and the director of St Mary Rehab and Physical Therapy. He was born in Egypt. He graduated from Cairo University in 1998, then moved to USA in the same year. He passed the physical therapy board exam in 1999 and has been practicing since then. He worked in different therapy settings including but not limited to, outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing and found his passion more in outpatient setting, he worked at Henry Ford hospital till he decided to open his own first clinic on October 2008.

With more than 20 years of experience, Amir received numerous training and certifications, to name a few:

• Vestibular Therapy training in 2010 then advanced training in 2015 to treat Vertigo and lack of balance.

• Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) training on Manual Therapy at Michigan State University School of Medicine to focus on treating spine and extremities pain and limitations.

• Dry Needling Training /Certificate to treat acute and chronic pain conditions.

• Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) certificate, to focus on treating sports injuries and athletes.

• Clinical Instructor (CI) with American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). For more than twenty years of professional practice, he has treated thousands of physical therapy patients of all ages in a variety of clinical areas. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and in his free time he loves playing ping pong and soccer. His philosophy of treatment
